Summary:
Works in a refurbishment plant primarily in Polk City but assists in a wood products plant in Bushnell with the focus on process improvement, Kaizen, and overall management with objective to improve product quality, increase productivity, reduce operating cost and improve safety.
Focus on maintaining, developing, and operating wood manufacturing systems.
Responsible for keeping the production costs down, while maintaining the quality of the product or service unaffected and have extensive knowledge and insights into projects.
Must be able to pass a Level II background check (FBI).
Excellent benefits; 6% 401k match.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Work with industry manager to operate two small plants.
Managing of production targets and inventory control.
Direct continuous improvement and elimination of waste through ongoing analysis and identification of inefficiencies within the system.
Kaizen experience preferred.
General oversight and monitoring of machinery - including project coordination for maintenance, upgrades, and repair when needed.
Knowledge of CNC equipment trouble shooting and programing; able to conduct regular CNC assessments.
Working with manufacturing staff to train on new equipment or optimization processes.
Help with troubleshooting of problems within the manufacturing process.
May have some budgetary responsibilities.
