Job Description

POSITION FUNCTION:


Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, performs duties necessary to support the Maintenance Team in performing routine or preventative maintenance at our main facility, grounds, rental properties and groves.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES:



  • Performs duties necessary to support the Maintenance team in performing routine or preventative maintenance at our main facility, grounds, rental properties and groves.

  • Performs facility and grounds maintenance duties. Duties include, but are not limited to, painting, plumbing, electrical, dry wall repair, mowing, weed eating, trimming trees, landscaping, edging, and building maintenance and set-up.

  • Performs preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment (e.g. maintenance vehicles, diesel engines/tractor equipment, golf carts).

  • Performs additional duties as assigned.


KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:



  • Ability to problem solve, identify and report any repair needs.

  • Must exhibit attention to detail, accuracy, and safety.

  • Must be able to communicate and present oneself in a professional manner.

  • Ability to understand and follow written or verbal instructions and/or directions.

  • Ability to read, write and keep logbooks, inventory records, and work requests.

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working and professional relationships with co-workers, and the general public.

  • Ability to work under high demands, short time constraints, and pressure of a fast paced work environment as well as being self motivated and able to work independently when necessary.

  • Must possess a Valid Florida Drivers License.

  • Must pass applicable pre-employment testing and background checks.


Special Requirements



  • May be required to work overtime, or alternate hours, as necessary for the efficient operation of the department.

  • Knowledge of tools and their uses.

  • Knowledge of the precautions necessary to work safely with and around mechanized equipment, hand tools and power tools.

  • Knowledge of the use of motorized equipment.

  • Requires light and heavy manual labor work that involves walking or standing most of the time, must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.


 





Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
